They are two female campaigners who lead a campaign against gender segregation in Beit Shemesh, and have been awarded damages from court after the refusal of the municipality to remove modesty signs. Such signs are hung in ultra-orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in the city, asking women who pass through to dress in a modest manner.
