Men perform a ritual of striking Arava on the ground, a Kabbalic ritual, close to the grave compound of Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochay) in Meron Mt. in north Israel. Rashbi is the author of "Zohar" book, the primary book of the Kabbalah stream.

The grave compound attracts many pilgrims from around Israel, who come to make wishes and prayers, as well as different religious celebrations.
