A.G, an Eritrean labourer working for an Israeli construction company, works on the construction of a barrier at Israel-Egypt border, some 70 km north of Eilat, southern Israel. Alarmed by what it described as a near-doubling in the influx of Africans seeking work or claiming refugee status, Israel last year began erecting a fence along the frontier.
