Men enjoy the beach on Israel's Independence Day, in the Israeli settlement of Shirat-Hayam, at the Gush Katif settlement bloc in Gaza Strip.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have arrived to Gush Katif to show support in the Israeli settlers of the area, following Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon's announcement on his plan to evacuate the Gaza Strip.
